Pūriri Room

Preschoolers, aged 3–5 years.

At this stage, tamariki are developing independence, friendships, and the confidence to take on new challenges. Our teachers provide a rich, play-based programme that encourages children to explore ideas, solve problems, and express themselves creatively.

Learning in the Pūriri Room is guided by Te Whāriki, with a focus on communication, contribution, and exploration.

Children are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and build early literacy and numeracy skills in meaningful, playful ways.

We also work closely with families to ensure each child’s strengths, interests, and cultural identity are valued. Through Storypark, parents can see their child’s learning journey unfold, with regular updates, photos, and stories from their day.
